
Ann T. (Olivieri) Caruso, 88, of Simsbury, loving wife of the late Paul M. Caruso, passed away Wednesday (April 12, 2006). She was born May 11, 1917, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Camillo and Natalia (D'Agostino) Olivieri. Ann and her husband co-owned and worked in Hartford neighborhood grocery stores over a period of 30 years, including Main Street Market, Roosevelt Market and Caruso's Market. She was a member of the Elmwood Senior Center, enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a wonderful cook. Ann enjoyed her family the most. She is survived by her son, Anthony M. Caruso and his wife Barbara of Canton; three grandchildren, Jena M. Caruso, Esq., Mara L. Caruso and Tony Caruso, Jr; and two sisters, Angie Armentano of Hobe Sound, FL and Gloria Mochon of Newington. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Ann was predeceased by a brother Ralph; two sisters, Florence and Linda and a step-sister Millie. Funeral services will leave Saturday, April 15, at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Blessing in St. Luke's Church, Hartford. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Friday, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
