

Anthony J. DiLorenzo, 91 of Wethersfield, loving and devoted husband of Colette (Schauss) DiLorenzo for 57 years, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born September 12, 1921 in Hartford and was the son of the late Anthony J. DiLorenzo, Sr. and Mary (Daly) DiLorenzo. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during WW II in the European Theater. He was a Realtor in the Greater Hartford Area, retiring several years ago. He was a long time member of the Capital City R&P Club of Rocky Hill. Anthony also enjoyed archery, reading, gardening, exploring wines and running his Lionel trains. Anthony was devoted, above all, to his family who will miss him greatly. Besides his wife, to whom he wrote a love poem each St. Valentines Day he is survived by his son, Anthony J. DiLorenzo, III and wife, Kristen, daughter, Therese C. DiLorenzo and spouse, Beverly Olis and daughter, Colette E. Richards and partner, Paul Kochanek, grandchildren, Alec J. Richards, Travis W. Richards and Cody W. Richards. He also leaves behind his brothers, Theodore DiLorenzo and wife, Lorraine, Thomas DiLorenzo, Richard DiLorenzo and wife, Shelia and sister, Mary DeVito and husband, Carmine, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog Razz. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph DiLorenzo, a sister, Florence Nunez and a sister-in-law Madelyn DiLorenzo. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield.
