
Antoinette (DiPaola) Tine, 96, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield and Old Lyme, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Tine, passed away peacefully on Friday (May 11, 2012). Born on December 6, 1915 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Michaelangelo and Sebastiana (Misenti) DiPaola and had lived in the area all her life. Antoinette worked for Arrow-Hart & Hegeman, retiring as an Assistant Foreman. She was a charter member of the Floridian Society, a member of the Rocky Hill Seniors and a communicant of St. James Church in Rocky Hill. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Mildred Sullivan of Rocky Hill and Marie Abate and her husband Joseph of Farmington; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Tine of Westport; nine adored grandchildren; 18 cherished great-grandchildren and one special great-great-grandson. Besides her husband and parents, Antoinette was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Tine and her brother, Joseph DePaul. The family would like to thank Antoinette’s home health aide, Charlene and the staff at Jefferson House for their devoted care.
Funeral services will begin Tuesday (May 15) at 10 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
