

Arthur Sebastian Spineti, 89, of Farmington and formerly Old Lyme, beloved husband for 54 years of the late Jean (Cappa) Spineti, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017. Born in Hartford on December 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina Spineti. Arthur was a graduate of Hartford Public High School and served in the National Guard. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for many years. Arthur was always happy and had a great sense of humor. A very family oriented man, he was a devoted husband and wonderful father and grandfather. He was happiest when he was with his family, especially his grandchildren, whose recitals and sporting events he never missed. He also enjoyed his Thursday “Breakfast Club” with his high school buddies. Arthur will be forever missed by his three sons, Arthur J. Spinetti and wife Grace of New Jersey, Joel D. Spineti and wife Martha of Haddam and Daniel C. Spineti and wife Marisa of Farmington and his eight adored grandchildren, Mario, James, Laura, Isabella, Bianca, Nina, Ava and Aria, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral services will begin Thursday (October 5) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
