Carmela (Fumelli) Bonetti, 98, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late John Bonetti, passed away Wednesday, (January, 26, 2011). She was born July 29, 1912 in Mello, Italy, daughter of the late Federico and Theresa (Bonetti) Fumelli. She was an outstanding cook and had a unique sense of humor while hosting guests in her home. Carmela is survived by a son, Leo Bonetti and his wife Eileen of Farmington; two daughters, Evelyn Parent and her husband Robert of Enfield and Margaret Bonetti of Wethersfield; six grandchildren: Suzanne Tyszkiewicz and her husband Joseph of San Rafael, CA; Robert Parent, Jr. of Agawam; Gary Parent of San Francisco, CA; Jeffrey Parent of Unionville; Christine Bonetti of Farmington; and Charles Bonetti of Farmington; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister Asunta Funelli of Mello, Italy; and many nieces and nephews in the U.S., Italy and Switzerland. Carmela's family would like to extend a special thanks to Gloria White for her compassionate care during Carmela's last few years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29, at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be Saturday, prior to the mass from 8:45 – 10:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
