Cynthia Rose Gramegna

Cynthia Rose Gramegna, 88, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Michael Gramegna, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on August 8, 2021 with her son Donald by her side. Cynthia was born on April 21, 1933 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Palazzi) Viola, Sr. Cynthia worked for many years as a Marshall in the State of CT Court System.

Cynthia sadly leaves behind her children, Donald Gramegna, James Murtaugh and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Ralph Viola, Jr. and sister Ann Viola. Cynthia was sadly predeceased by her daughter Debra Murtaugh.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will immediately follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
