David N. Woodward, 81, of Newington and formerly of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Born in Hartford on December 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Norman H. and Mary (Kennedy) Woodward. David grew up in Wethersfield and was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and attended the University Of Connecticut. He worked for the Ply-Bricko Company for many years and enjoyed bird watching. He will be dearly missed by his brother, Bruce B. Woodward and sister-in-law Betty of Wethersfield, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Miles Woodward.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday (June 12) at 11 a.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT 06109. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to First Church. The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
