Diane (Mormile) Cosker, 84, of West Hartford, wife of the late John “Jack” Cosker, Jr., died peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Rapuano) Mormile and lived in Wethersfield for many years. Diane earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Foreign Languages from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. She briefly taught foreign languages at the junior high school level while earning credits towards a Master’s Degree in Education from Yale University in New Haven, CT. Prior to her retirement, she was an Executive Administrative Assistant for The Hartford Insurance Company. She was a devoted communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Wethersfield where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, the Social Action Committee, and the Guild of St. Agnes. She was also active in the Hartford Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group and Albertus Magnus College Alumni Association. In her free time she enjoyed playing the piano and even taught piano in her earlier years. Diane loved the beach, golfing and playing tennis but most importantly spending time with her family and adored grandchildren.
Diane will forever be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Robert Cosker and Michael Cosker, both of East Hartford; three grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew and Colleen Cosker; brother, Anthony Mormile, Jr.; former daughter-in-law, Kristine Cosker; sister-in-law Leah Dumez and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will begin with calling hours on Monday, November 26, from 9 -10:30 am, at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at the Sacred Heart Campus of Christ the King Parish, 56 Hartford Ave, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
