

Dominic P. Ferrari, 94, of Hartford, beloved husband of the late Connie M. (Baggiero) Ferrari passed away on Thursday (July 7, 2011). Born on May 26, 1917 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Anna (Losego) Ferrari and had lived in the area all of his life. Dominic proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Until his retirement he was owner and operator of the Glastonbury Flower Shop. Dominic was an avid New York Yankees fan and was a member of the Sons of Italy. Dominic is survived by his loving family, his grandchildren, Rick Lemke, Robyne Lemke, Kip Ferrari, Peter J. Ferrari, Jr., Philip Ferrari and Scott
Ferrari; his great-grandchildren, Amber, Ricky Jr.,
Michael, Tiffany, Brieanna, Brett, and Sierra; his great-great-granddaughter,
Izabella; his brother,
Raymond Ferrari and his wife Marge; and his sister, Julia Dubiel. He is also survived by his godchildren, Grace Resmini, Stephen Sonnone, Dino Ferrari and Tommy Bonomo; his special friend, Judy and his dear friend, Dolly; as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides his wife and parents, Dominic was predeceased by his loving children, Peter J. Ferrari, Sr. and Carol M. Ferrari and his siblings,
Leonard Ferrari and Celina Sullivan.
Funeral services will leave Monday (July 11) at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
