Donna Marie Lucente

Donna Marie Lucente, 74, of North Branford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Born in Hartford on January 31, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Olympia (Rizzo) Lucente. Donna graduated from George J. Penney High School, East Hartford. She earned her Associate’s Degree and worked as an executive secretary for Heublein, Inc. An avid animal lover, Donna was a longtime supporter of the animal rescue Branford Compassion Club. She always put family first and cherished her time spent with them.

Donna will be forever missed by her loving companion of 24 years, Joseph Foster of North Branford; her brother, Edward Lucente and wife Karen; her sister, Sharon Pilz; her brother-in-law, Al Franz; her two nieces, Coleen Vacirca and Lisa Lucente, two nephews, Andy Franz and Gregory Lucente; two great-nieces, Zoe and Auri Vacirca, as well as many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Franz; her brother-in-law, Clayton Pilz; her niece, Jessica Franz and her nephew, Jason Pilz.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 27 from 4-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
