Douglas C. “Doug” George, 35, of Coventry, formerly of Wethersfield, loving husband to Lisa A. (Misenti) George, peacefully passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at home. Doug was born in Hartford, October 28, 1985 son of Robert M. George and the late Devra L. (Powley) George. He was raised in Wethersfield and graduated from Wethersfield High School, Class of 2003. Doug was a self-employed landscaper. He loved his family and friends and cherished the time he spent with them. He was a free spirit with a passion for music who would always put a smile on your face.
Along with his wife Lisa and his dad Robert, Doug will be deeply missed by his grandfather and his partner Robert George and Lynda Juda; his sister and brother-in-law, Amber M. and Michael Cancelliere of Ivoryton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas “Tom” and Alicia (Paradee) Misenti, of Niantic; his niece and nephew, Cami and Cory Cancelliere; his brother in-law and wife Thomas Misenti Jr and Louise Plumstead, of Brighton, England; his closest cousin Nathanael Rocha; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends; and not to be forgotten, his loving dog, Bella.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. To extend online condolences, please visit www.desopofuneralchapel.com.
