
Edward R. Magrogan, Sr. 95, of Baltimore, MD, died on Saturday January 12, 2008 at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. Mr. Magrogan was born on May 19, 1912 and spent his entire life in the Baltimore area. He was one of 13 children born to Edward and Theresa (Schauber) Magrogan. He leaves his only son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Nancy Magrogan of Old Saybrook, a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Betty Magrogan of Elliott City, MD, a sister Theresa Jorden of Chicago, two sisters-in-law, Josephine Magrogan and Marty Magrogan both of Baltimore, two grandchildren, Timothy Creamer and his wife Peg of League City, TX and Jeffrey Creamer of Exeter, NH, and two great grandchildren, Patrick and Jammie Creamer of Texas. Ed was a great lover of cars and boats. He worked as an auto mechanic for over 50 years at Mayfield Garage in Baltimore taking only a short hiatus to build ships during WWII. His pride and joy was his brand new 1932 yellow Desoto with rumble seat. He could fix anything! Medical equipment to home appliances, to building engines for hydroplane race boats were all within his abilities. He loved fishing and spent countless hours cruising the Chesapeake on his boat 'Compromise' always looking for that big catch. Mr. Magrogan was predeceased by his wife of 64 years Mary (McCart) Magrogan and his daughter Mary Elizabeth Creamer. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Charles, John, James, Robert, William, Joseph, Mary, Lydia, Bonnie and Sister Lucille Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 17, 2008 at 12 noon in St. Luke?s Church, Edgemere, MD.
