

Edward M. Ramsey, 84, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Columbia (Marinaccio) Ramsey, was called home by our Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2010, after a brief and very painful illness. He is the son of the late Martin and Anna (Markovitz) Ramsey. Ed was born and grew up in Hartford, but spent most of his life in Wethersfield with his wife Columbia. He was retired from the Rourke-Eno Paper Company. Ed had many various interests; he was a devoted fan of the Yankee’s and UCONN basketball, he loved to play golf and was gourmet cook specializing in pizzelles and baked macaroni, but most of all he was a kind and generous person. Ed showed his wealth of love by being the caregiver for Columbia for the past few years, he will be truly missed. Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, many cousins and several nieces and nephews, including Richard and Maryleah Skoronski of Glastonbury, Robert and Maryann Watson of White Plains, New York, Robert and Johanna Wolosiuk of Hartford and George and Marilyn Cataldi of Wethersfield. The funeral will be Wednesday, September 29, beginning at 9 am from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 am at St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 28 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral chapel in Wethersfield.
