
Ella Marie Chambers, 79, of Berlin, formerly of Wethersfield, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, (September 27, 2009) in Hartford surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Paul and Philomena (Cappelli) Cassarino, Ella lived in Wethersfield for more than 40 years before moving to Berlin about two years ago. She was an administrative assistant for many years at various offices in the Hartford area. Ella is survived by four devoted daughters; Karen Cancelliere and her husband Joe of Cromwell, Cindy Lipka of Rocky Hill, Gwenn Vecchitto and her husband Steve of Miami, FL and Martha Chambers-Kennedy and her husband John of Wethersfield; two grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and dear friends. She will be missed by the many pets she cared for. Ella was predeceased by a brother Michael Cassarino and a sister Ann Casasanta. Memorial funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church, 511 Maple Street, Wethersfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
