
Frances V. (Martino) D'Onofrio, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Ralph D'Onofrio, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on December 8, 2010. She was born September 3, 1921 in Hartford, daughter of the late Lebratto and Jennie (Francoline) Martino, and attended Hartford schools, graduating from Bulkeley High School in 1939. Frances worked for the City of Hartford in the welfare department, and was employed for many years by the Fuller Brush Company and by National Tool and Dye Company. During World War II while her husband served in Europe with the U.S. Army, Frances worked at Hamilton Standard Aircraft on airplanes that were used by the U.S. in the war. She also worked in her later years at Fabians in Hartford and at Village Pizza in Wethersfield. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Dale Duncan of Rocky Hill, her granddaughters Karen Orefice of Wethersfield and Traci-Lynn Fox and her husband Brian of Glastonbury, and three great-grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas and Riley-Ann Fox. She also leaves her sister Carmella Corraccio of Wethersfield, a devoted niece and nephew Niki-Jean Bordieri, and her husband Michael, and their children Michael Jr. and Audrey who always had a special place in Frances' heart, and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Nicholas and Andrew Martino. Funeral services will leave Monday, December 13 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield.
