Francis L. "" Frank"" Merola, 57, of Rocky Hill, husband of Jeanne (Bennett) Merola, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday morning, (July 12, 2012). Frank was born on February 2, 1955 in Honolulu, HI and was the son of Concetta (Maiorano) Merola, of Delray Beach, FL and the late Francis R. Merola. His family settled in Worcester, MA where he attended and graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA. After graduating from Bryant University with a BS degree in business administration, Frank worked for State Mutual Insurance Company in Worcester MA, a small pension firm in Chicago IL, and became an insurance broker in Florida, then Connecticut, representing many insurance companies in life and health insurance products. Frank and his wife, Jeanne, purchased Millard Enterprises in 1996. Frank along with the dedicated team at Millard in Cromwell, built a successful window film business serving Connecticut and Westchester County. Frank was an avid golfer, tennis player, and an able sailor. He loved to cook and enjoyed a quiet dinner with his many friends and family. Frank had a passion for movies - new and old. He could debate about the political situation with anyone willing to keep up with him. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Jeanne (Bennett) Merola and their precious daughter Brenna Nicole Merola and his adoring mother Concetta (Maiorano) Merola. Frank is also survived by his Uncle Guy and Aunt Vilma Maiorano of Stonington, CT. He has many loving cousins and friends. They will all miss Frank terribly.
