

George N. Lucerini, Sr., 87, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband for 31 years of Evelyn (Bell) Hutchinson Lucerini, passed away peacefully on Monday (December 3, 2012). Born on July 26, 1925 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Evelyn (Marino) Lucerini. George was a proud WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a general contractor until his retirement. He was a former member of the Elks and the Local Builders Union in Hartford. He was predeceased by his first wife, Antoinette Lucerini. In addition to his wife Evelyn, George is survived by his sons, Thomas Lucerini, Sr. and his wife Margaret and George N. Lucerini, Jr. and his wife Joanne, all of Vernon; his daughter Jennette Werstler and her husband Robert of Woodstock; his stepchildren, Arthur Hutchinson, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Wethersfield, Donald Hutchinson and his wife Sheryl of Rocky Hill, Kenneth Hutchinson and his wife Pamela of Glastonbury and Annelizabeth Messina and her husband Gerald of PA; one sister, Sarah Dutka of Meriden; five adored grandchildren; eight cherished great-grandchildren and a beloved niece and best friend, Frances Bazzano and husband Sal of Rocky Hill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
