

Giuseppe ""Joe"" Bordonaro, 43, of Hartford, loving husband of Desideria ""Desy"" (Ciarcia) Bordonaro, passed away peacefully, Monday (January 23, 2012) at Hartford Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born January 14, 1969 in Caracas, Venezuela and is the son of Giuseppa (Rovella) Bordonaro and the late Antonio Bordonaro. Joe graduated from Bulkeley High School, Class of 1988 and studied at Manchester Community College. He was the Service Manager at Puritan Furniture in Elmwood for over 13 years. Joe enjoyed going to the beach with his family and he had a passion for Italian Culture. He was a role model for his daughter, Arianna, his godson, and his nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his devoted family and many friends. Beside his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter, Arianna Lucia Rita Bordonaro; his two brothers, Sebastiano Bordonaro and wife, Paula of South Windsor and Salvatore Bordonaro of East Hartford; his nephew and godson, Alexander Bordonaro; niece, Gabriella Bordonaro; nephew, who Joe was his Confirmation Sponsor, Joseph Reali; nephew, Alex Reali; nephew, Corrado Ciarcia; niece, Sabrina Ciarcia and nephew, Jose Ciarcia. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Giuseppa Ciarcia and sister-in-law, Antonella Ciarcia Reali, both of Newington and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carmelo and Lorena Ciarcia of Sicily, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will Friday at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel.
