

Giuseppe “Joe” Lisi, 76, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Born in Villasmundo, Sicily on December 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Bartolo and Michela Lisi. Joe was a skilled barber, working at the Professional Barber Shop and Constitution Barber Shop for many years. He was passionate about and extremely dedicated to his profession and formed many long lasting relationships with his clients over the years. Most of all, he will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Joe will be dearly missed by his three children, Aldo and wife Michelle, Michaelle Formica and husband Paul and Anthony and girlfriend Joy Rodriguez; three adored grandchildren, Kayla and Joseph and Bella Valentina; his brother, Michele; two dear nephews, Aldo Incontro and wife Connie and Francesco Incontro and wife MariaClara and five cherished great-nephews, Joseph, John, Antonio, Tonino and Nuccio; and brother in law John Piergrossi. Joe was predeceased by four siblings, Sebastiano, Francesco, Concettina and Sarina. The family would like to thank Anila, Nadine, Patrice, Tanishia and all the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living for taking such good care of Joe. Funeral services will begin Tuesday (March 29) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
