Grace Lucy (Finnocchiaro) Damiata, 96, of Glastonbury, beloved wife for 33 years of the late John Damiata, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in Lawrence, MA on May 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Grazianna Finnocchiaro. A loving mother and grandmother, Grace will be dearly missed by her two sons, Joseph “Joe” Damiata and wife Barbara of Cromwell and John Damiata and wife Lorraine of Farmington and her two adored grandchildren, Daniel and Michelle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
