

Henry “Hank” Stanley Jemiola, Jr., 70, of Hebron, beloved husband for 45 years of Mary (Demkowych) Jemiola, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born September 19, 1955, in Manchester, he was the son of Henry and Barbara (Arrowsmith) Jemiola Sr. and the youngest of four children. In addition to his devoted wife Mary, he is survived by two sons, Henry III and his wife Erin of Dedham, MA and Jason and his wife Katie of Higganum and four grandchildren, Henry IV, Tyler, Madison and Dylan.
Hank grew up in Durham and graduated from Xavier High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University and his Master of Education from Center Connecticut State University. He dedicated his career to the Middletown Public Schools as a Special Education teacher, Audio/Visual director, coach, and Adult Education instructor, earning deep respect from colleagues and students alike.
A devoted family man, Hank loved playing, watching and coaching sports with his boys, particularly baseball and golf. He coached Little League for many years, including eight years as the coach of the Hebron Wildcats. Hank also proudly worked as a truck driver, taking overnight trips throughout the Northeast. He loved old country music, road trips, antiquing and time spent with family in Florida and Block Island. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at age 40, he faced the disease with extraordinary courage for three decades.
Hank will be remembered for his strength, humor, generosity and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His legacy lives on in his family and in the many lives he touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 17 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church Street, Hebron. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Glastonbury. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
