It is with immeasurable sorrow that we announce the passing of Idiline ""Idi"" M. (Imbing) Lavery, of Rocky Hill, who passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday (April 19, 2011) while surrounded by her family, losing her battle with cancer and finally resting in peace free of the insidious disease that took her from us at the age of 48. Born on July 15, 1962 in the Philippines, Idi was the loving daughter of Trinidad (Ferrer) Imbing and the late Dr. Vicente Imbing. During her life, Idiline touched so many people with her kindness and generosity, starting from early childhood and continuing throughout her life and career, as most recently witnessed by her co-workers and patients at Middlesex Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse. During her recent stay in the hospital, that kindness and generosity all came back to her, not only from friends, family and co-workers, but also from former patients. This flood of compassion not only lifted Idiline's spirit but also helped her family through the difficult days of her illness. Besides her mother, Idi is survived by her beloved husband, Christopher Lavery of Rocky Hill; her children, Tiffany Sioson and Kyle Chuang, both of the Philippines; her sisters, Lecil Guerzon and her husband Arthur of Middletown and Gladys Lucero and her husband Ted of Lawrenceville, GA and her brother, Sonny Imbing of the Philippines, as well as her niece, Izo Guerzon and nephew, Alec Guerzon and several extended family members, many co-workers and dear friends. Idi's family would like to invite you to share in a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with Chaplain Dennis McCann officiating.
