
Joan (Branciforte) Barillaro, 64, beloved wife of the late David G. Barillaro, passed away Monday, (August 10, 2009) in Hartford after a brief illness. Joan was born in Hartford on December 1, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jennie (Nevico) Branciforte. She lived most of her life in Cromwell where she raised her family and worked at Farmers and Mechanics Bank in Middletown for several years. She moved to Estero, FL and lived there for the past eight years where she worked at the Bonita Bay Group. Joan was a dog lover throughout her life, and will be joining her beloved Jordi. She is survived by her two children: David J. Barillaro and his wife Christine of Cromwell and Diane Murray of Estero, FL; a sister, Donna Dlugolenski and her husband Edward of Windsor; two brothers, Joseph Branciforte of Middletown and Alfred Branciforte of Florida. She also leaves behind her four beloved grandchildren who will miss her dearly: Jennie and David Barillaro and Matthew and Kelly Murray; her nieces and nephews, Marc and his wife Heather Dlugolenski, Bryan and his wife Amy Dlugolenski, Joey and Gina Branciforte, Darlene Ferguson, Michael Branciforte and Dina Smedick; her aunts and uncles, Hazel and Reed Bartman, Anne Voltarel and James Nevico as well as several cousins and great friends. Calling hours will be from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A memorial service will be held at the end of the calling hours at 1 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
