
John A. ""Jack"" Watts,III, 89, of Wethersfield, loving husband of Marion (Curley) Watts, died Thursday, (January 20, 2011), on his birthday, with his family by his side. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late John A. and Christine (Watson) Watts and was a lifelong resident of the Greater Hartford area. He was the founder and former chief executive officer of John Watts Associates, Inc., East Hartford retiring in 1998. He graduated from Bulkeley High School, Hartford in 1941 and graduated from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II and was a member of Hartford CIVITAN. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons and ""wonderful"" daughters-in-law; John A. Watts and his wife Janet, of Vero Beach, FL, Joseph D. Watts and his wife Laurie, of Framingham, MA, James D. Watts and his wife Peggy of Wethersfield, Jeffrey Watts and his wife Elaine of Rocky Hill; his grandchildren, John A. Watts, M.D. and his wife Jen Watts, M.D., Lisa Natkin and her husband Jon, Keith Watts and his wife Maya, Timothy Watts, Jessica Poole and her husband Michael, Nicole Watts, Craig Watts and Cara Watts; his great-grandson, William Watts; his special niece, Jane Richards; his sister-in-law, Doris Curley and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Brown. The funeral is Tuesday, January 25, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield. Everyone is invited to go directly to church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
