

Kenneth W. Hamilton, 74, of Hartford, loving and devoted husband for 50 years of Marie (Gionfrido) Hamilton, died peacefully Monday, November 2, 2015. Born October 2, 1941 in Hartford, he was the son of the late William and Stella (Gladue) Hamilton and was a lifelong resident. Ken was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local #559 and also worked for the MDC. He was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. Ken was a member and a certified instructor of the NRA. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing and was a muscle car enthusiast. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter, Kenneth C. Hamilton, Paul Hamilton and wife Diana and Nichelle M. Hamilton; his three adored granddaughters, Ariana, Ava and Alana, who he referred to as “his three A’s” and who lovingly called him “Pepa”; his brother, Orvis Hamilton and wife Beverly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Jane Gionfrido, Frank and Susan Gionfrido and Theresa Gionfrido, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Oliver and Robert Hamilton and sister, Dolores Pistritto.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church.
