Leonor (Chaves) Braga, 88, widow of Antonio C. Braga, of Hartford, entered into God's care on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal and was daughter of the late Jose and Adelina Chaves. Leonor retired from CT Spring after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by her son, Arsenio 'Sam' Braga; her grandson, Avery Braga; her brothers, Jose Maria (Evangelina) Chaves and Arthur (Ines) Chaves; her in-laws, Jose Edwards Braga, Lourdes Chaves and Idalina Braga and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eugenia Chaves; a nephew, Paul Chaves and in-laws, Maria (Cabral) Braga and Jose Braga.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane Street, Hartford.
