

Lorraine (Frappier) Randazzo, 92, of Newington, passed away at the Suffield House on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was the widow of Paul Randazzo. Born in Willimantic on September 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Annette (Ducharme) Frappier. Lorraine came from a large and musically gifted family, growing up playing instruments and singing with all nine of her siblings and attending college for music. Ultimately, she became an analyst for Travelers Insurance, where she worked for 42 years, retiring in 1992. However, she pursued her musical passions throughout life and sang for many years in the Choir of the Holy Spirit Church in Newington. She was also a member of the Holy Spirit Ladies Guild, the AARP and the Newington Senior Citizens. Lorraine kept fit and physically active in her later years, becoming a regular face at L.A. Fitness, where she attended Zumba classes well into her eighties. Lorraine loved reading, traveling, and cruising the high seas.
Lorraine will be deeply missed and forever remembered by two loving nieces, Cori Molina of Suffield and Lisa Iacolino with her fiancé Anthony McGuire, of Enfield; six great-nieces and great-nephews with their spouses, Sophia and Steven Arel, Toby Molina, Michael and Angela Warren, Casey and Ramiro DeHorta, Albert and Cassandra Iacolino and Victoria Iacolino; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition, Lorraine leaves her special cousin, George Ducharme. Along with her husband and parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her nephew, Junior Molina; her eight siblings, Harvey, Robert, Roland, and Richard Frappier, Hazel Bhlaer, Patricia and Solange Frappier, and Margaret Tanguay, as well as her special partner, Harold Bucci.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Lorraine’s family Wednesday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church of Annunciation Parish, 183 Church St., Newington.
