

Lucy (Pandolfe) Ratti, 88, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Thursday (November 10, 2011) at home with her loving family by her bedside. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph R. Ratti. Lucy was born December 14, 1922 in Harford and was the daughter of the late Louis and Concetta (Giuliano) Pandolfe. As a young woman she was raised in the Columbia Gardens area of the South End of Hartford and often reminisced about those days, she said it was “a piece of heaven”. She was a faithful communicant of St. James Church, Rocky Hill and a member of the Old Elm Senior Citizens in Rocky Hill. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Louis Ratti; her sisters, Philomena DiPietro, Esther Lauria and Carmella Karwan and her brothers, James Pandolfe, Ray Pandolfe, Frank Pandolfe and Joseph Pandolfe. She is survived by her two sons, James Ratti and wife, Lori and Joseph Ratti and wife, Suzanne; grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey, Alex and Marissa and a sister, Marion Caruso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (November 19) at 11:15 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
