Maria Garofalo (Comito)

Maria (Comito) Garofalo, 75, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Salvatore Garofalo entered into eternal peace with her loving family by her side on Friday (October 19, 2012). She was born in Priolo Gargallo province of Siracusa, Sicily on November 2, 1936, daughter of the late Antonio and Graziella (Donsuzzo) Comito. Maria was employed by G. Fox and Company for many years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Besides her husband of 57 years, Maria is survived by her sons Sebastiano F. Garofalo and his wife Maria of Rocky Hill, Antonio Garofalo and his wife Nina of Newington, and Maurizio Garofalo and his wife Tina of South Windsor; her adored grandchildren, Maria Vanessa, Salvatore, Alessandro, Victoria, Martina, Loriana and Anthony; her loving great granddaughter Isabella and many nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her two brothers Rosario and Sebastiano.

Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday (October 23) from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Luke Church, 66 Bolton Street, Hartford. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
