Maria Rodrigues

Maria Rodrigues, 63, of Columbia, beloved wife of Virgilio Rodrigues, died Friday February 9, 2007 at home. Born in Portugal, she lived in Hartford for many years before moving to Columbia in 1986. She retired from Hartford Hospital after 29 years of service. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Besides her husband she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; William and Lisette Rodrigues of Middletown, two grandsons; Christopher and Nicholas Rodrigues, her siblings; Maria Santos and her husband Joaquim of Hartford, Manuel Pereira and his wife Resolina of South Windsor, Antonio Rodrigues and his wife Ilda of East Hartford, Adelino Rodrigues and his wife Jorgetta of Meriden, Silvestre Rodrigues and his wife Zulmira of West Hartford, and Conceica Almeida and her husband Manuel of South Windsor and several nieces and nephews. The funeral is Thursday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
