Maureen Ruth Kelly (George)

Maureen Ruth (George) Kelly, 66, of Rocky Hill and formerly of Sarasota, FL, beloved wife for 35 years of the late Joseph Patrick Kelly, passed away on Wednesday (June 22, 2011) with her family by her side at Hartford Hospital. Born on August 4, 1944 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Stedman) George. Maureen enjoyed music and loved to travel, read, bowl and play bingo, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was never one to pass up a sweet treat! Maureen is survived by her five children, Michael Kelly of Tolland, Robert Greco and his wife Lee Ann of Rocky Hill, Joseph Kelly of Sarasota, FL, Patricia Orsini and her husband Giuseppe of South Windsor and Marilyn Greco of North Port, FL; her daughter-in-law, Alison Kelly of East Hampton; her siblings, Michael George of Meriden, Diane Toce and her husband Dan of Vernon, David George of Middletown, Mark George of Monroe, GA and Kathy Aglieco and her husband Patrick of Wethersfield; her 15 beloved grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Maureen was predeceased by her son, Timothy Kelly.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday (June 28) at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to church.
