

Michael L. Siembab, 57, cherished husband of LouAnn (Orsini) Siembab, of Rocky Hill, passed away at home on Saturday (December 18, 2010) with his family by his side after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Hartford, son of the late Louis and Lillian (Mascolo) Siembab, Michael was raised in Wethersfield and resided in Rocky Hill for the past 24 years. He graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1971 and attended Hartford State Technical College. Michael was employed by the United States Postal Service for 36 years, serving as an electronics technician, most recently in Hartford. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Michael belonged to the American Legion, Post #80 in Enfield. He was also a long time member of the AirShowBuzz family and an avid supporter and coach of girls softball and soccer in Rocky Hill for many years. In his free time, Michael enjoyed photography, fishing, aviation, and computers. Along with his devoted wife of 34 years, Michael is survived by two loving daughters and their husbands; Lorrien Rose McIlwain and her husband, Kevin, of Montville and Leanne Michele Silva and her husband, Edward Alexander, of Rocky Hill; a sister, Dolores Crist, of Washington State; a brother-in-law and his wife, Luke and Kathleen Orsini of Marlborough; his mother-in-law, Rosanna Orsini of Wethersfield, as well as nieces and nephews, many cousins and loyal friends, especially James Stula. A Mass of Christian Burial, followed by full military honors, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial at the convenience of the family will be private.
