

Orazio Romano, 77, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Linda Jean Romano, entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2024. Orazio was born on January 20, 1947 in Floridia, Sicily. He was the son of the late Gaetano and Concetta (Pinnone) Romano. Orazio earned a Masters Degree from CCSU. He devoted his life to teaching. During his career, he taught at East Hartford High School, Capital Community College, and CCSU.
He will be forever missed by his children who were the center of his life, sons, Thomas and wife Sarah, William and wife Lindsay and daughters, Amy and Jessica. He will also be missed by his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Madelyn Rose, Amelia Joy and William Reid, as well as his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Bascetta (Antonino), Paula Romano (Michael), and Jo-Ann Formica and several nieces, nephews and many extended family members. In addition to his wife and parents, Orazio was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Richard Formica.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 13 from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 14 at 11:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Attendees are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, (Section Y), Bloomfield.
