

Patrick Joseph Rossi, 84, of Rocky Hill, loving husband for 61 years of Millie (Sorano) Rossi, passed away on Wednesday, (February 18, 2009) at Maple View Manor. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Luizzi) Rossi. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and earning a Purple Heart. He was a self-employed carpenter and cabinetmaker who excelled at his craft. He was an avid sports fan and loved dancing, and he and Millie spent the last 17 winters in Florida. Pat was a sweet, loving, soft-spoken husband and a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family. Besides his beloved Millie, he is survived by his children: son John Michael Rossi of Gardner, MA, daughters Patricia Ann Yagmin and her husband Daniel of Wethersfield and Joan Rossi Burgie of East Hartford; his brother Frank Rossi of Plainville and his sister Adeline Godfrey of Farmington; eight adored grandchildren and one cherished great-grandchild. Funeral service will leave on Saturday, February 21 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Rd., East Hartford.
