Raymond J White

Raymond J. White, 76, of Southington, loving husband of the late Beverly Roberts with whom he shared over 20 years of marriage, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was born August 14, 1948, in Hartford, Connecticut and was the son of John V. White and Mary Monica (McAleer).

Ray was a dedicated public servant having worked many years as a probation officer at the Berry Square Office. He was a lifelong lover of history and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the subject from Radford. Outside of work, he found joy cheering on the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team, watching movies, spending time with family as well as neighbors and listening to timeless music such as the Beatles and Beach Boys.

He is survived by his daughter Kerry Rau (Gregory) son, Christopher White (Marissa) six grandchildren, Emma Rau, Sadie Rau, Jake Rau, Charlotte Rau, Cameron and Francesca White, one stepdaughter Fara Alleyne and her son, Nate and two stepsons, Mark DeRose and his sons Mason and Liam and Paul DeRose and his daughter Brooklyn. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Peter and Margaret White.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 11-1:30 P.M. at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, CT 06119.
