Richard DelGreco, Sr.

Richard DelGreco Sr., 83, beloved husband to Mary (Faretra) DelGreco, entered into God’s care on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Richard was born in Hartford and was son to the late John and Emmanuella (DeFronzo) DelGreco. He worked in the baking Industry as a Salesman for Arnold Bakery and later Drake’s Cakes until he retired in 1996.

He enjoyed gardening and tending to his favorite red roses, watching Judge Judy, along with taking naps with his beloved canine partner in crime, Rosie.

Richard will be remembered for his infectious fun personality, his love of Hershey Kisses and Bingo night with family.

In addition to his devoted wife, Mary, of 62 years, he will be dearly missed by his children and their spouses; Richard DelGreco Jr., Deborah and Eric Rocheleau and Mary-Ann and Sebastian Sanzaro, his seven precious grandchildren, Ashley, Sebastian, Chrissy, Madeline, Ryan, Jake and Grace as well as several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his daughter Ann-Marie DelGreco.

The family will receive relatives and friends TODAY, July 30, 2024 from 5-7PM at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave, West Hartford. Please meet the family directly in church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
