

Rocco J. Orgento, 98, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Hartford, husband of the late Rosemary (Pinto) Orgento passed away peacefully on Sunday, (January 6, 2008). He was born in Hartford, and lived in the area most of his life. He was an underwriter for the Caledonian Insurance Company for many years and later in life did display carpentry. He leaves three daughters, Carol Driscoll of Wethersfield, Virginia and her husband John DiBella of Wethersfield, Marcella and her husband Robert Sassi of Killingworth, grandchildren, Dean and his wife Liz DiBella of Newington, Tracey and her husband Robert Fitzpatrick of Boston, Drew and his wife Carrie Sassi of Killingworth, great grandson Grant DiBella, and a sister, Theresa Lattanzio of Wethersfield. He was predeceased by sisters Carmela Nedell and Ann DeLuca and a brother Victor Orgento. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
