Rosalia Santana-Rodriguez, 32, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle against breast cancer on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Rosalia was the wife, best friend, and forever love of Javier Rodriguez.
Rosalia (Rosi) was born on December 12, 1986 in Hartford, daughter of Carlos and Erminia (Lacirignola) Santana. Rosalia was a forever student, her passion for education and always learning something new was insatiable. Rosi earned her bachelor’s degree from UConn and was working on her MBA at Northeastern University. Rosi loved all that was good in this world. She loved to travel, cruising, the warmth of the sun on a beach and seeing the world. Rosalia was the ultimate party planner, her attention to detail was something that made everything she did perfect. There were no flaws ever to be found in anything Rosi did as perfection was always the ultimate goal. Rosi’s dedication to attention and perfection also presented itself in her professional life. Rosi was practice manager for Conroy Orthodontics. She was respected and loved by all her co-workers. She made it her priority to make sure that her office ran smoothly, and everyone was treated fairly and just. She was loved by all. She became their friend, their confidant, their sister, their butterfly angel. Rosi also worked for the past 16 years at Stop & Shop in Wethersfield. Her bright light touched and showered everyone she encountered in its own unique and special way, co-workers, customers and all that passed her by. Rosi’s number one passion was family. She was so happy and so proud to be a daughter, sister, wife and especially Mommy to her sweet baby angel, Lia Rose. Her dreams and visions were nothing but perfection for Lia Rose. She did everything in her power to make sure this was accomplished and will continue to make sure this happens as she watches over and protects her from heaven. Rosi’s passion for life and all it brought her way was greater than life itself. Rosi touched each person she met in a very special way. She will be part of our lives until she meets us all in Heaven for that huge perfect party.
Besides her husband and love of her life, Javier, Rosi is survived by her sweet baby angel, Lia Rose Rodriguez, her parents Carlos and Erminia Santana of Hartford, her sister and best friend, Coral Santana of Hartford, her Brother (stay gold pony boy) Giovanni Santana of Hartford, Aunt Mirella (aunt Dee) and her husband Thomas Esposito of East Hartford, Uncle (big brother) Angelo Lacirignola and his wife Elizabeth of Owasso, OK., maternal grandfather, Angelo Lacirignola of Wethersfield, paternal grandmother, Rafaela Pedraza of Gurabo, PR., Aunt Silvana Lacirignola of Fasano, BR Italy, cousins Thomas Esposito Jr and Sabrina Esposito of East Hartford, Aunt Margarita (Santana) Alahverdian and her husband Michael of Vernon, as well as many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends here in CT, PR, Italy and all over this world.
