Salvatore Sebastian Greco, 82, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Anne (Moynihan) Greco, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2021. Salvatore was born March 5, 1938 in Hartford and was the son of the late Salvatore and Corradina (Franza) Greco. Sal grew up in Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. Through the years, he remained involved in planning their reunion celebrations. He attended UConn where Sal had the opportunity to play football. He then went onto graduate from Central Connecticut State University. He worked in the construction industry and owned a painting business for several years. He ended his career working at Home Depot in the Design Center. Staying true to his UConn roots, Sal was a fan of all UConn sports. He especially enjoyed following the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams and he was a season ticket holder for many years. He was a founding member of the Clam Shell Creek Crew, a UConn football tailgating group composed of friends and family. Sal enjoyed reading, music and time spent with family and friends. A truly devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Salvatore will be missed by his children, Michele Fitzgibbons and her husband Dennis, of Marlborough, Timothy Greco of Rocky Hill, Daniel Greco and his wife, Lindsay, of Madison, and Nicole Greco and her husband, Christopher Siloac, of Wethersfield. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Connor, Cameron, Ryan and Caroline. He is also survived by his brothers Gaetano and Anita Greco, of East Greenwich, RI, Robert and Cecilia Greco, of Deerfield, IL, and sister-in-law Mary Greco of Wethersfield. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Greco.
