Salvatrice Tina"" Rose (LoStimolo) Vella

Salvatrice “Tina” Rose (LoStimolo) Vella, 89, of Newington and formerly Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Charles J. Vella, passed away on Tuesday (July 8, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Carmela (Tarascio) LoStimolo. Tina worked as a loan office for CT Bank & Trust, Hartford. She was a member of Rinaldi-Fede, Post 17 and the VFW, Enfield. She was also a longtime, faithful communicant of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church and belonged to the Corpus Christi Women’s Club. Tina was an avid fan of UCONN women’s basketball. She will be dearly missed by her son, Charles S. Vella of Newington; two sisters-in-law, Mary LoStimolo of Bloomfield and Betty LoStimolo of Newington; her godson, Sammy Scrivano; and several nieces and nephews, among them Joanne Speziale, who was also her goddaughter. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lucille A. Konstandaras; two brothers, Anthony and Louis LoStimolo and two sisters, Angeline Speziale and Rosemarie LoStimolo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours. Donations in Tina’s memory may be made to the House of Bread, 1453 Main St. Hartford, CT 06120.
