Sebastiano Vittorio Buccilli

Sebastiano Vittorio Buccilli, 78, of Newington, beloved husband of Margherita (DiBacco) Buccilli, died Saturday, (March 20, 2010) at John Dempsey Hospital (UConn Medical Center). He was born June 16, 1931, in Pratola Peligna, province of Aquila, Italy, son of the late Domenico and Enia (Micale) Buccilli. At the age of 18, he moved to Caracas, Venezuela, to find work and help support his family in Italy. In Caracas, he supervised the automotive body shop at Suiza Motors. At the age of 36, he left Venezuela to reside in Hartford. He met and married his beloved Margherita in Italy and both returned to reside in Newington. Prior to his retirement in 2005, Sebastiano was employed at A & B Auto Body Works in West Hartford for 35 years. Sebastiano is survived by his two loving sons, Vittorio Buccilli and his wife Amy of West Hartford and Vincenzo Buccilli of West Hartford; his sisters, Enza Bruno, Leonilde Vivarelli and her husband Arsede, and Silvana Fabrizi and her husband Attilio, all of Italy; and his adoring grandchildren, Lucy and Tyler. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Emidio Buccilli. Funeral services will leave Wednesday, March 24, at 11 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, for a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington, entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
