

Steven Henry Rollins, 50, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Stacey (Bligh) Rollins, passed away on Friday (November 13, 2009) in Hartford. He was born on March 6, 1959 in Hartford, son of the late Henry and Lilly Mae (Harris) Rollins, and was a life-long Wethersfield resident. Steven was a mechanic for the State of Connecticut D.A.S. fleet operations for 28 years. He previously worked at Hughes Brothers in Wethersfield for 18 years, the Windsor Police Department for 10 years, and P.J. Mirabelli Enterprises. He served on the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, attaining the rank of Lieutenant, for a total of 21 years. Steven was also a member of the Wethersfield Game Club for 17 years, was an instructor at the Connecticut State Fire Academy, and coached the Giants team for Wethersfield Midget Football. Besides his devoted wife Stacey, Steven is survived by his loving children: Steven H. Rollins, Jr., Wesley M. Rollins and Dina Cardella (Rollins) all of Wethersfield; his beloved granddaughter Mackenzie, his sister Theresa of CA; and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19th at 11 a.m. at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
