

Theodore S. Antonio, 89, of Tarpon Springs, FL, formerly of Connecticut, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, with his loving daughter by his side. Theodore was born on August 3, 1936, in Hartford and was the son of the late Stratos and Bessie (Tsolakis) Antonio.
Theodore graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCONN earning a BS degree. A devoted employee, he enjoyed a wonderful career at IBM, where he held the position of Sr. Engineer for more than 25 years. In addition, he proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves for many years. As a parishioner of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Theodore was a member of AHEPA 58, Hartford Chapter, a philanthropic organization. Theodore was an avid reader, enjoying all types of books and periodicals. He embraced every opportunity to gain knowledge and developed a passion for following the stock market.
Theodore was fortunate to retire at an early age and moved to Florida. He enjoyed time with family and had great friendships with many of his neighbors. Although, his favorite time was spent with his grandchildren, especially during their annual trips to Walt Disney World where memories were made and will never be forgotten. Papou was especially proud of his grandchildren when they made their college choices following what he valued most, business and technology.
A loving father and grandfather, Theodore will be missed by his devoted daughter Staci Lynch and her husband Robert of Wethersfield, his cherished grandchildren John “Jack” Lynch and Sophia Lynch who loved and will miss their Papou immensely. He also leaves his brother Louis S. Antonio of Wethersfield along with nieces, nephews and very dear friends in Connecticut and Florida.
Theodore was predeceased by his parents and his brother Thomas S. Antonio.
A funeral service celebrating Theodore’s life will be held on Friday, February 13, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the cathedral. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
