Thomas ""Tommy"" Rocco DeLorenzo, 50, of East Hartford, died Wednesday, (June 13, 2012) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was born July 26, 1961 in Hartford and was the son of the late Joseph W. DeLorenzo, Sr. and Frederica (DePasquale) DeLorenzo. Tommy was employed by HESCO and worked at the First & Last Tavern, Hartford. He was the warmest soul who loved his family more than anything. Tommy enjoyed life in the simplest forms. He loved the sun, the beach and the ocean, but most of all he loved cooking gourmet meals for his family and friends, listening to great hits of the eighties, oldies and rock and roll. Tommy brought a sweet calm in the room whenever he was present. He was so generous at heart, his memory will be cherished forever. He is survived by his best friend and confidant, Miriam Bracamonte of East Hartford, his brothers, Michael P. DeLorenzo of Rocky Hill and Joseph W. DeLorenzo, Jr. and his wife, Maggie of Arizona , his loving and devoted sister, who took very good care of him, Suzanne DeLorenzo of New Britain, three nephews, Joseph, Jason and Justin and many cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved step-mother, Mary Collins DeLorenzo and his very beloved George DePasquale, who loved Tommy like a son and his sweet wife, Diane DePasquale.
There will not be any calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (June 23) at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue in Hartford. Funeral arrangements by the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel. For on-line expressions of sympathy please visit www.desopo.com.
