

Vincenzo Fazio, 88, of Wethersfield, husband of Antonia (Rotundo) Fazio, died Monday, (October 19, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. Born in San Michele, Italy, son of the late Mariano and Concetta (Graziano) Fazio, Vincenzo lived in Hartford for many years prior to moving to Wethersfield more than 30 years ago. He was employed as a foreman at Hartford Faience Company for more than 20 years. He served in the Italian Army during World War II. Besides his devoted wife of 60 years, Vincenzo is survived by five loving children: three sons, Mario Fazio and his wife Maria of South Windsor, Frank Fazio and his wife Debbie of Winchester, NH and Luigi (Gino) Fazio and his wife Sandra of Bolton; two daughters, Concetta (Tina) Guglielmi and her husband Domenico of Rocky Hill and Rose Gilbert and her husband Brian of Hebron; two brothers, Natale and Pietro Fazio, both of Milan, Italy; two sisters, Luigina and Maria Fazio, both of Calabria, Italy; nine cherished grandchildren: David Fazio and Jessica, Michael Fazio, Manuela Timmons and Paul, Marcella Guglielmi, Matthew Fazio, Lisa Fazio, Mckenzie Gilbert, Brian Gilbert and Madison Gilbert; and three cherished great grandchildren: Elena, Nathan and Sierra. Funeral service will be Friday, October 23, beginning at 11 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel in Wethersfield.
