William 'bill' Burns Landers

William 'Bill' Burns Landers, 43, of Glastonbury, the beloved husband of Dorie (Shaw) Landers, passed away on Wednesday, (September 24, 2008). He was born in Hartford and was the son of Robert W. Landers of Glastonbury and the late Patricia (Burns) Landers. Bill graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University and was CEO and President of Xsellense, Inc. He was a coach for the Hartwell Soccer Club and Glastonbury Basketball Association and was an avid runner. He was a fan of Glastonbury High School Soccer and was a member of the Glastonbury Education Foundation. Bill was a communicant of St. Paul Church in Glastonbury and St. Augustine Church in South Glastonbury. Besides his wife and father, Bill is survived by his beloved children Ryan and Madison and his grandmother Lucille Burns. He is also survived by his brother Mark R. and his wife Amy (Audet) Landers of Glastonbury, his sister Maribeth L. Bridgeford and her husband Rob of Glastonbury, his brother-in-law Lester W. Shaw, IV and his wife Nancy of Avon, his mother-in-law Dorothea B. Shaw and his father-in-law Lester W. Shaw, III of Avon, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers at Nerac and Xsellense. Bill's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to his special friend Larry Ford, the Suffield Ambulance Service and the staff of the Neuro ICU at Hartford Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Glastonbury Green Cemetery. Friends may call at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Landers Children Educational Fund, T.D.
