

Winfred J. Nesselrodt (Wimp), Age 57, husband of Karen (Delawder) Nesselrodt, went to be with our father in heaven Sunday evening, June 3rd, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Due to the complications from a long battle with a rare disease known as Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Winfred will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather (Pappy), and for his courage during difficult times. He is now at peace and in the heavenly love and grace of our Lord and Savior. He was born September 17, 1954 in Mathias, WV, son of the late Jackson and Roxy Nesselrodt.
Mr. Nesselrodt attended Laurel Hill Baptist Church before his health diminished.
Winfred was self-employed and owned his own construction company known as Nesselrodt’s Construction in New Hope, VA. He was also an avid sportsman and enjoyed frequent trips out west pursuing his next ‘big’ trophy.
In addition to his wife, surviving, beloved, family members included a son and soon to be daughter in law, Jeremy Nesselrodt and Stacy Davis, a daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Chad Crookshanks, a son and daughter in law, Wesley and Carolynn Nesselrodt, a son, Kevin Delawder, and four very special grandchildren, Peyton Nesselrodt (his little buddy, Ralph), Makenna Crookshanks, Leila Crookshanks (Betty Boober), and Kelsey Davis.
A memorial service will be conducted at his home, 278 Patterson Mill Road, Grottoes VA on Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2012 at 3pm by the family and the Reverend Mark Wingfield
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the same address.
The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers that memorials or donations be made to an account located at United Bank in Weyers Cave, VA made out to “In Remembrance of Winfred Nesselrodt” or Jennifer Crookshanks (to be placed in the memorial account) which will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in his honor. The family would also like to thank everyone for their love, thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
