I have played lots with Emery. He had a feel for the true gospel music that I will miss. Just a memory of Emery...my wife and I lived across the field from Emery and Marion. He was always up for a jam or just a visit. As everyone knew, his eye sight wasn’t great, but if we played music at our house, he could see the red light on the bass amp. He would call that the “red light district”. Great sense of humour he had. Sure going to miss him. Our thoughts are with you, Louise and your family.

My heartfelt condolences to family and friends. I have always loved Emery like a brother. His big heart and sense of humor have impacted many. Emery is an inspiration. He has never let life's hurdles hold him back. Poor eyesight, little education, loss of fingers- nothing stopped him from moving forward and taking life's challenges head on. He is a success and an example of what you can achieve with motivation and a good attitude. He enjoyed the simple things in life- good food, company, song, and nature. May his "cabin in Gloryland" provide all of this and more.
Forever in my heart~
Judy (Terrace, BC)

I always enjoyed playing music with Emery. One of the last songs I played with him was "Go Rest High On That Mountain". That was one of his favourites. Our condolences to Louise and family. Go rest high on that mountain, Emery.
