Melanson, Roland Joseph, age 78, of Plympton Station passed away on February 1, 2022 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Plympton, he was a son of the late Dennis Melanson and Leotha (Amero) Melanson.
Roland was an avid outdoorsman and a keen handyman. Known for his generosity, he loved to lend a helping hand, never expecting a thing in return. Roland is survived by wife, Anna Melanson; daughter, Christine Melanson (James); sons, Darrin Melanson and Shawn Melanson (Lacey); sister, Mirtle Raymond; grandchildren, Anthony Amero, Adriane Amero, Devin Jordan, Samantha Melanson and Kendra Melanson as well as 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Hartley Melanson, Irving Melanson, Ronald Melanson, and Murray Melanson.
