

Joseph “Joe” Andrew Maggio, Jr., 76, died on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was a native and resident of White Castle. Joe was an avid fan of LSU Tiger football and baseball, the New York Yankees and loved traveling with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce Clement Maggio; four daughters, Milan Maggio Artigue (Dean), Gina A. Maggio, Deanna Maggio, and Maria L. Maggio; one son, Joseph Andrew Maggio, III; two grandchildren, Christopher Artigue and Ryan Artigue; two sisters, Virginia Simmers and Mary Beth Maggio; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Antonina Latino Maggio and Joseph Andrew Maggio, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Peter and Francesca Latino; paternal grandparents, Salvatore and Vincenza Maggio; one nephew, Mitchell Simmers; mother-in-law, Ruth Clement; and father-in-law, Bert Clement.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle and at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle, Thursday, May 28, 2015 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph A. Maggio, Jr. to the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home Activity Fund, 4080 W. Airline Highway, Reserve, La 70084.
